Latest addition to Allen Bradley Repairs

(21/06/2005)
NDC have added the Allen Bradley 1394 System Module to its repairs Register. This unit is the controller for the multi axis digital servo drive and has, until now been supportable only by the Original Equipment Manufacturers.

These drives are used in a variety of applications and uses a single fibre optic ring which serves as the sole interface between control and drive. This interface replaces costly command and feedback wiring, reducing both installation time and wiring costs The development work at NDC concentrated on the ability to communicate with the drive and to functionally test it both before and after repair. NDC can now add this to its unique Repairs Register with now stands at over 7,500 items. The development costs were borne by NDC and the cost to the customer for the repair only was less than 30% of the replacement price and turnaround was 14 days from receipt.
