24 hour emergency response for Dietz drive failure

(19/11/2007)
Following the takeover of German OEM Dietz, NDC have been in receipt of a number of support enquiries from maintenance managers and plant engineers across industrial sectors.

Most recently a multinational office products manufacturer called to request an emergency repair to a 1.5 kW Dietz DSV5452 -4/400 maxidrive that was controlling a Kugler automatic punching machine.  Given that this machine has a capacity to punch 100,000 sheets per hour, the company could not tolerate any amount of unnecessary downtime.  It was imperative therefore that our response incorporated a fast turnaround, accurate diagnosis and fault rectification.  Our engineers quickly identified phase monitoring faults and were able to rectify these and return the unit to production within 24 hours.
