Soft drinks manufacturer finds NDC services 'The Real Thing'

(24/07/2008)
As the ad says, "so what's the worst that can happen?" Well if you're tasked with slaking the Summer thirst of millions, then a breakdown in your key distribution centre could well be.

NDC were recently called to attend site to collect a Dietz DSV5444 Vector Drive that had failed at the plant, causing critical production downtime at a time of maximum demand.  The unit was immediately returned to our Manchester Service Centre for an emergency assessment. Our engineers identified that a previous repair had been attempted by one of our competitors, causing internal damage.  They were also able to observe extensive component failures and power supply faults.  In addition to rectifying the internal mechanical damage, the PSU was repaired and all other faulty semiconductor and passive components replaced. Electrolytic capacitors were also refurbished and all solder joints reflowed.  The unit was fully tested and returned to site the next day, and successfully re-commissioned.  Production chiefs thanked our team for their professional and timely response.
